Qualifications & Experience
- Active, unencumbered RN license
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical-surgical unit
- Proficient in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care for medical-surgical patients
- Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, healthcare professionals, patients, and families
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills in fast-paced settings
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient care to adult medical-surgical patients, monitoring vital signs and managing symptoms
- Administer medications, IVs, and treatments according to established protocols
- Document patient status, care delivered, and progress notes accurately and timely
- Educate patients and families on disease processes, post-hospitalization care, and discharge plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create individualized care plans
- Respond effectively to emergency situations and escalate care as needed
- Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment in line with facility standards
